The Penguins’ Sidney Crosby missed another scrimmage yesterday, skating with a coach and goaltender Casey DeSmith instead. Crosby said afterward that he hopes to practice with the team as early as Monday in Toronto.
The Pens ended camp with a chippy scrimmage that included angry exchanges between Jared McCann and Brandon Tanev, who dropped the gloves before coaches broke it up; and Teddy Blueger went after Jusso Riikola after a hard check.
The Penguins play the Flyers in a Tuesday afternoon exhibition game in Toronto.
