The statewide average cost of a gallon of gas went down over the last week.
AAA reports that the statewide average cost as of this morning is $2.43 a gallon, down a penny from last week at this time. It is seven cents higher from where it was last month and 49 cents lower from last year at this time.
For Indiana County, the average cost of a gallon of gas is $2.45 a gallon. Indiana Borough and White Township’s gas prices as of this morning are $2.49 a gallon. Homer City gas prices are a penny cheaper at $2.48 a gallon. Prices in Clymer are at $2.45 a gallon, while Blairsville gas prices are hovering around $2.42 a gallon.
The lowest gas price average is in Westmoreland County, at $2.42 a gallon, with Armstrong County not too far behind at $2.43 a gallon. Jefferson and Cambria have averages of $2.47 a gallon and Clearfield has an average price of $2.48 a gallon.
