A Commodore man who pleaded guilty to charges related to an incident in July of 2019 will be back before a judge today for a post-sentence motion.
On December 17th of last year, 65-year-old Garry Faber was found guilty of a felony charge of endangering the welfare of a child, and misdemeanor charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. He was acquitted on a charge of aggravated assault. The charges stemmed from an incident July 5th, 2019 when he allegedly threatened his wife with a loaded shotgun in the presence of their five-year-old son. He then barricaded himself in the house until police arrived. Two hours later, Faber surrendered to police.
Faber was sentenced on March 23rd to three months to two years. The hearing today is for a nunc pro tunc motion, meaning correcting a ruling retroactively.
