The Pirates will play the Cleveland Indians six times in the abbreviated MLB regular season, but they’ll have a little more familiarity with them than that. The two teams announced a three-game exhibition schedule, starting Saturday at PNC Park, then on July 20th at Cleveland, and then back in Pittsburgh on July 22nd, two days before the scheduled start of the season at St. Louis.
We’ll have all three games on WCCS, FM 101.1 and AM 1160. The airtimes will be 7:00, with first pitch for each game scheduled at 7:05.
Pirates outfield prospect Socrates Brito has returned to practice after sitting out with a positive coronavirus test. Pitcher Blake Cederlind also tested positive. He had not returned as of yesterday.
The Bucs announced yesterday that they have signed undrafted free agent pitcher Parker Brahms. The right-hander out of Sacramento State had a 1.14 ERA in four starts this season and did not walk a batter.
