The Pennsylvania State Police released its total amount of illegal drugs confiscated for the second quarter of 2020. Reports show that more than $5.7 million was seized statewide in illegal drugs from April 1st to June 30th.
While no county breakdown is available, it was reported that processed marijuana hauled in the most amount of funds with $2,892,690; heroin comes in second with 17.02 pounds worth $578,680; and Fentanyl comes in third with 29.86 pounds worth more than $477,000.

In addition to the totals, state police also collected 211 pounds worth of prescription and other forms of medication from drop-boxes around the state, as part of its drug “take-back” program, and these boxes provide a safe way to dispose of unwanted or unused medication.
There are 65 total boxes across Pennsylvania, with four boxes located in Indiana. You can find them at the Indiana Borough Police station located on 8th Street, at the Indiana County District Attorney’s Office along Philadelphia Street, at the Pennsylvania State Police-Indiana barracks along Route 286 Highway West, and the Indiana CVS along Warren Road.
