Dodger Stadium’s long wait to host another All-Star Game will be
extended another two years, as MLB announced it has officially canceled this year’s Midsummer Classic that had been slated to be held at the historic Southern California venue on July 14.
Dodger Stadium, which hosted its only All-Star Game in 1980, will now be the site of the 2022 event. The 2021 All-Star Game will remain at Atlanta’s Truist Park. It’s just the second time since its inception in 1932 that the All-Star Game has been canceled, with the first coming in 1945 due to restrictions caused by World War II.
