Kevin Harvick took the first of two weekend Nascar Cup Series races yesterday at Long Pond, PA. It was his first win ever at Pocono Raceway. Denny Hamlin finished second and Aric Almirola third. The starting grid for today’s second race will be the inverted top twenty from yesterday, meaning Harvick will start twentieth and Ryan Preece will have the pole position.
For the first time ever, NASCAR will hold three series races at the same track as yesterday’s Truck Series race was rained out. The Truck, Xfinity, and Cup Series drivers will all be on the track today at Long Pond, weather permitting.
