The NFL announced this morning that the Hall of Fame Game between the Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys, the NFL’s annual preseason kickoff in Canton, Ohio, has been canceled, with the enshrinement ceremony for the Hall of Fame Class of 2020 postponed. The cancellation and postponement are the biggest announcements made by the league due to the pandemic.
The game was to take place on Aug. 6 in Canton, Ohio, the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the enshrinement was to happen two days later.
Speculation is that now the Cowboys and Steelers are expected to play in the 2021 Hall of Fame Game.
The Steelers and Cowboys were to be the first two teams to report to camp in about a month to prepare for the game, ahead of the other teams, but now are likely to report with the rest of the league on July 28.
