The Homer-Center School Board last week named Paul Pohley the new boys basketball coach at his alma mater.
Pohley has spent 10 years as an assistant under coach Bob Rado, the last six as first assistant, where he guided the junior varsity team. Rado retired after coaching 36 seasons at Marion Center, Indiana, and Homer Center.
Pohley graduated from Homer Center in 1986 after playing under coach George Sulkosky. He went on to play baseball at IUP, where he was a pitcher. He works as a physical therapist at Indiana Total Therapy.
