Las Vegas is considered a strong candidate to become one of the two hub cities for the NHL’s 24-team playoff format.
There are 10 potential hub cities, including three in Canada and a decision is expected to come within the next 10 days. The league and players must also agree on testing and health-and-safety protocols amid the pandemic before games can resume.
Pittsburgh is also in the running to host NHL games.
