Penguins coach Mike Sullivan told the Tribune Review yesterday that forward Jake Guentzel is skating with his teammates in the informal voluntary sessions this week. He had shoulder surgery in December and Sullivan says the team is “very encouraged” with his recovery.
The coach also said that no players have expressed any concern or hesitation about playing with the pandemic still an issue, and he did not know if the one player who tested positive would be limited. That player has not been publicly identified. Sullivan also said he was not aware of any problems players have had getting back to Pittsburgh.
