The Penguins have hired longtime minor league coach Mark French as head coach and director of hockey operations for the Wheeling Nailers, their ECHL affiliate. French takes over for Mike Bavis, who the team let go on March 30th.
Penguins players will take part in voluntary skating sessions today at the team’s facility in Cranberry.
Yesterday, the Philadelphia Flyers, Edmonton Oilers, Arizona Coyotes and Vegas Golden Knights were among teams that took the ice.
