A vigil for those who died due to racial injustice is planned for Sunday at the Indiana County Courthouse.
“A Gathering for Justice, In Peace, With Love, from Indiana County” will start at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 7th at the Indiana County Courthouse and move to IRMC Park. One of the organizers, Alex Clark, said this is meant to be more of a vigil rather than a protest rally.
The vigil will include remarks by Clark along with local activists Josh Williams, Katrina Laude, Poom Taylor and Gerald Smith and will include songs and prayers from local worship leaders.
We have also received word of a counter-rally that will take place. No other details have been provided on the counter-rally.
Organizers ask if people want to take part in the rally to remain socially distant and to wear masks.
