The Johnstown Collegiate Baseball League was originally scheduled to begin its season today, but that was postponed by the pandemic.
However, Commissioner Don Stanton has announced that the league will begin playing its season on June 17th, with five clubs playing a 28-game regular season schedule, followed by playoffs that would wrap up on August 9th. Fans will be allowed but will be limited, and players will wear masks in the dugout.
Teams will be able to begin workouts on Friday, when Cambria County goes “green.”
The JCBL is made up mostly of Division Two collegiate baseball players.
