NASCAR
Cup Series points leader Kevin Harvick took the checkered flag after a dominant 293 laps in NASCAR’s return to the track at Darlington to win the Real Heroes 400. With no fans in attendance, Harvick was able to hold off Alex Bowman for his first win of the season. Bowman finished in second while Kurt Busch took third. Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top five. Ryan Newman ran 15th in his first race back from his Daytona 500 crash, while Matt Kenseth placed 10th in his first race since the 2018 season finale.
It’s a quick turnaround for NASCAR’s Cup Series as the drivers will be back on the track for another spectator-free Cup Series race at Darlington on Wednesday before running the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte on Sunday.
