Pitt football added three new three-star recruits to its 2021 verbal commitments over the weekend and also snared a graduate transfer pledge from an offensive tackle.
Keldrick Wilson of Hampton University said Saturday he will transfer to Pitt for his final season of eligibility.
Yesterday, Pitt received verbal commitments from two offensive linemen from Detroit: highly-rated 6-7, 280-pound Brandon Honorable and 6-5, 314-pound Terrence Enos. Pitt also received a verbal commitment from 6-2, 200-pound linebacker Preston Lavant of Crisp County, Georgia.
CBSSports.com has produced an interesting mock draft for the NFL next season, including two Pitt Panthers and two Penn State Nittany Lions in the first round. The website predicts Pitt linebacker Patrick Jones II will go ninth overall to Atlanta, Penn State linebacker Micha Parsons will go at number-21 to New England, Pitt defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman at number-26 to Minnesota, and Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth to Dallas with the 28th pick. By the way, they also predict the Steelers taking Tennessee tackle Trey Smith at number 25.
