Six of the fifteen schools that the PIAA ruled will be bumped up a class next year in basketball have appealed the decision. They include the Bellwood Antis girls, one of two District 6 teams ordered to move up. They would play as a AAA team next year, but their odds of remaining AA would seem to be pretty good. They had only one transfer player last year and will lose a lot to graduation next year, including star Alli Williams.
Bishop Guilfoyle’s boys did not appeal before the Friday deadline. They will play as a AAA school next season.
