Penn State football coach James Franklin has received a verbal commitment from four-star quarterback Christian Veilleux of Orleans, Ontario. He’s 6-3 and 201 pounds, and attends The Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. He’d been offered a scholarship by Pitt as well, and narrowed his choices to Penn State, Clemson, Duke, and Tennessee this month. He tweeted his verbal commitment yesterday.
The Nittany Lions also got a verbal commitment from kicker Sander Sahaydak, of Bethlehem. He was 10-of-12 in field goals last season with a long of 53 yards, and chose Penn State over Rutgers and Army.
