IUP’s Athletes of the Week are men’s track & field grad student Noah Mandel and women’s lacrosse sophomore Chloe Borland.
Mandel is a cross country and track & field distance runner from Erie. He has a 4.0 cumulative grade point average as an exercise science graduate student. At the PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the end of February, he finished fourth in the 5000 meters and sixth in the 3000 meters, both career bests.
Borland has a 3.73 grade point average as finance major. She’s from Green, Ohio and she led IUP with 12 goals, nine assists and 21 points through four games. Borland posted a career-high six goals and 11 draw controls in the final game of the season against Seton Hill March 12.
