The average cost of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania continues to go down.
As of this morning, the state wide average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $2.12. That’s a five cent decrease from last week at this time, and a 42-cent decrease from last month. The reason for the gas price drop is because of the lack of demand due to Covid-19. The lower demand along with low prices of crude oil right now have pushed many averages down, including the national average, which is now at $1.88 a gallon.
For Indiana County, the average cost of a gallon of gas is $2.19. The lowest average among the surrounding counties is Jefferson with $2.12 a gallon. Clearfield has an average of $2.13 a gallon, Armstrong’s average is $2.17 a gallon, Westmoreland County has $2.21 a gallon average and Cambria has an average of $2.22.
