White Township is getting ready for a project to remove some invasive plant species in White’s Woods.
The township announced today that they plan on working on 50 acre upland dry parcels of White’s Woods over the Spring and Summer months in an effort to remove several species of plants that Mike Lawer of Millstone Land Management are calling non-desirable.
While they will look out for several invasive plant species, Lawer talked about one that is very abundant in the area.
Some of the timber has already been marked, and a new trail will be made to go around the worksite. The invasive treatment is expected to begin in the next couple of weeks, with the entire project expected to run a few months.
