Many area groups and businesses are trying to help those on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic. That includes a Homer City distiller, which is anticipating some high demand for hand sanitizer that it is making.
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Disobedient Spirits in Homer City is starting to make hand sanitizer, and it plans on donating what it makes to first responders and others who are exposed to Covid-19. Bob Begg, a co-founder of Disobedient Spirits, said the process for making hand sanitizer is similar to the process for one of the products it sells.
Begg had some ideas to sell some of Disobedient Spirits’ hand sanitizer, saying that he wanted to take care of those who needed it first, but he said that he may have problems with keeping up with demand.
Begg added that Disobedient Spirits is still open to buy bottles of its products, and it is taking steps, including using its own hand sanitizer, to limit the spread of coronavirus.
