MASTERS RESCHEDULED

It’s Masters week, but there is no golf right now due to Covid-19. Given the chance to pick a new date for the tournament, Augusta National picked November 12^th to the 15^th.  That week on the schedule previously belonged to the Houston Open, which now is scheduled to go a week earlier.  Assuming golf resumes this year, Augusta National has indicated that players who already have earned invitations will play in November. Players who win PGA Tour events when golf resumes are expected to get invitations to next year’s Masters.

The British Open Championship has now been officially canceled, marking the first time since 1945 that golf’s oldest major championship will not be played.

Under golf’s latest proposed schedule, the PGA Championship would take place August 6^th through the 9^th in San Francisco and the U.S. Open would remain at Winged Foot in New York from September 17^th to the 20^th.
