The Indiana County Sports Hall of Fame is postponing their banquet originally scheduled for May 17. The hall of fame board will make a determination at the beginning of June whether to hold a late summer banquet or wait until next year.
This year’s honorees will include Al Kovacik, who has been supporting youth sports in the borough of Blairsville and the surrounding area since he opened his business in 1981, and Mike Sherry, the founder and president of the Miracle League of Southwestern PA. Both will be recognized, along with this year’s eight inductees, 18 scholar athletes and several others.
