Multiple brush fires were reported in Indiana County on Friday.
Indiana County 911 reported the first brush fire was at 12:55 PM on Route 422 east in Pine Township. Pine Township and Cherryhill Township fire departments were called out.
Homer City fire department was called out for a brush fire on Division Street in Center Township at 3:19 PM.
Plumville and Perry Township fire departments were called out for a brush fire on Smith Road in North Mahoning Township at 4:29 PM. About 30 minutes later, Plumville would be called out again, this time with Creekside Fire Department for a brush fire reported on Baker Road in South mahoning township. Marion Center Fire Department would be called in at 5:04 PM to assist.
And at 6:12 PM, Blairsville and Blacklick Fire Departments would be called out for a brush fire on Brooms Road in Burrell Township. Clyde and Coral-Graceton Fire Departments would be called into assist about a minute later. Bradenville, Brush Valley and Armagh fire department were called in to standby, with Bradenville’s brush truck called into action about 30 minutes later.
There have now been 35 reported brush fires since the start of the brush fire season earlier this year.
