GREEN TOWNSHIP
A Hillsdale man will be charged with driving under the influence after refusing a blood draw in the aftermath of a crash last Wednesday afternoon in Green Township.
State police say 34-year-old Carl Overman’s pickup was disabled after it hit two trees alongside Hill Road. Overman left on foot and Commodore firefighters found him walking along Wandin Road, about a mile from the scene of the crash. Police took into custody on suspicion of DUI and after refusing a blood draw at IRMC, he was admitted to the hospital until medically cleared. The charges will be filed before District Judge Chris Welch.
MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP
Police say a driver hit a parked vehicle and drove through the front yard of the vehicle’s owners along Route 286 in Montgomery Township on the afternoon of March 14th. The driver of the offending vehicle has not been publicly identified. The victims were two men, ages 58 and 59, with a Cherry Tree address.
