The Pirates optioned seven players to the minors on Friday, including shortstop Cole Tucker and third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes.
Also sent to Triple-A Indianapolis were outfielder Jason Martin and pitchers Geoff Hartlieb, Edgar Santana, Sam Howard, and Yacksel Rios.
