The Altoona Curve fell to the Erie SeaWolves 10-1 Friday night at UPMC Park.
After Altoona hit three home runs in Thursday’s win, Erie answered with four homers of its own. The Curve scored first in the opening inning when Lonnie White Junior reached on an error and later scored on an Easton Carmichael single. But Erie quickly took control. Peyton Graham hit a solo homer in the first, and Thayron Liranzo added a three-run shot in the third to put the SeaWolves ahead 4-1.
Erie added four more runs in the sixth before solo home runs from Patrick Lee and Josue Briceno in the eighth capped the scoring. White continued his hot stretch, reaching base in each of his first three plate appearances. Javier Rivas had two hits for Altoona.
The Curve and SeaWolves continue their series tonight in Erie, with first pitch scheduled for 6:05.
