Steelers top draft choice Max Iheanachor left the practice field at St. Vincent yesterday with an apparent upper body injury, apparently to his shoulder or neck. The rookie guard walked off under his own power with a member of the training staff. The Steelers have not commented.
The Steelers are scheduled to practice today at 11 AM and tomorrow is “Saturday Night Lights” at Latrobe Memorial Stadium, at 6 PM.
Yesterday’s practice featured a few temper flareups and scuffles as the Steelers reached what coach Mike McCarthy called the “hump” portion of training camp.
McCarthy says it’s a key time for the Steelers, especially the younger players.
The coach says it’s important to every player to put something good on video.
The first exhibition game against Green Bay is next Thursday at Acrisure Stadium.
