Jeffrey Bruce Long, 63 of Indiana, PA., passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana.
He was the son of Robert B. and Elizabeth Mae (Colson) Long, born April 10, 1963 in Fredrick, MD.
Jeff was a hardworking man who spent many years at Specialty Tires, where he took pride in earning an honest living. When the workday was done, he enjoyed life’s simple pleasures – a cold Busch beer, watching Family Feud, listening to classic country, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as “Apple”.
He was rough around the edges, outspoken, and never one to sugar coat his opinions. Jeff had a colorful vocabulary, a knack for making people laugh and never met a stranger for long. Whether he was telling stories, cracking jokes, or teasing those around him, Jeff had a personality that filled the room and was impossible to forget.
More than anything, he will be remembered for being unapologetically himself. Jeff lived life his own way, worked hard, loved deeply, and will be dearly missed by those lucky enough to know him.
Jeff is survived by his longtime partner Karen Rice, brother, Kevin Long (Donna) of MD, sister, Terry (Gary) Michels of FL, daughter, Amber Long of KY. He will be missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Gary Long.
Friends will be received on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer. His funeral service will follow at 6 pm with Pastor Robert White, officiating. Interment will be private for the family.
