The Penguins take on the New York Rangers tonight at Madison Square Garden. The Pens have won three of their last four games and are 3-2-and-1 on the year. New York is 1-5-and-0.
Defenseman Ian Cole was back practicing with the team yesterday after taking a slap shot to the mouth last week. He wore a cage over his face but participated with no restrictions. Coach Mike Sullivan said Cole will be a gametime decision.
Matt Murray will be in goal tonight. He is 7-0-1 in his last eight regular-season games going back to last year, 3-0-1 this year. And he is 6-0 in his career, including playoffs, against the New York Rangers.
Puck drop is set for 7:00 o’clock tonight, with the airtime on 92.5 FM U92 at 6.
