A man awaiting action in Westmoreland County’s court system is due in Indiana County court today on drug charges.
28-year-old Travis Repinski is due for a preliminary hearing today before District Judge Robert Bell, Sr. for three charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and six summary traffic violations. This is in connection with an incident on November 15th of last year.
Meanwhile, he is awaiting formal arraignment for a case out of Westmoreland County concerning a chase in Ligonier Township on July 17th of this year. He was seen stealing diesel fuel from PennDOT vehicles and when police arrived, they saw him trying to leave the scene and going onto Route 259. Police said he lead them on a chase that ended when he collided with a responding police car. He tried to flee but was quickly apprehended. He also allegedly tried to escape from the hospital he was taken to for treatment after the incident.
The formal arraignment hearing is set for August 14th in Westmoreland County Court.
