At the PA Youth Legion state tournament yesterday, Boyertown scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and defeated Trafford, 4-0 behind Joey Goddard’s complete-game no-hitter. Goddard was right at the pitch limit but got the final out, a strikeout, on a 3-2 pitch.
Hamburg beat Sunbury-Norry to set up the championship today between Hamburg (3-1) and Boyertown at 11 AM. Should Hamburg win, they’d play a deciding game at 2.
The championship will be featured today on Renda Digital TV.
