INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana borough police have charged an Indiana man with stealing a bicycle in an incident on Friday. Officers charged 57-year-old James Vernon Holley in connection with the theft reported at 11 AM on July 26th in the 600 block of Clark Avenue. Holley was found in possession of the bike a few days later. A criminal complaint charging him with theft-receiving stolen property was filed with District Judge Tony Sottile’s office.
Charges have been filed against a Shelocta man for driving under the influence in Indiana Borough on June 6th. Indiana Borough Police say they pulled over 39-year-old Nathan Barney for a summary traffic offense in the “00” block of South 13th Street and discovered he was intoxicated to the point that it was not safe for him to drive. He was taken into custody and then brought to IRMC for evidence collection before he was released to a sober adult. Charges were filed through District Judge Tony Sottile’s office.
