The 38th brush fire for the year in Indiana County was reported on Friday.
That fire was reported at 11:34 last night along Park Road in Young Township. The Iselin and Coal Run fire departments were dispatched for the fire. No word on how much fire damage or how the fire started.
That was one of a handful of calls reported on Friday by Indiana County 911. The calls started at 10:06 AM with a carbon monoxide alarm on Osborn Street in New Florence in Westmoreland County. Armagh fire department was dispatched to the scene. At 11:45 was a fire alarm activation on Galinac Lane in Young Township. Coal Run and Iselin fire crews were called into action for that.
Indiana Fire Association members were very busy with two physical rescue calls and one vehicle accident. The first of the rescue calls was at 3:29 PM along Old Route 119 South in White Township. The second was at 6:20 along Shelly Drive in White Township. The vehicle accident was at 3:53 PM on South 6th Street in Indiana Borough, and fire crews were joined by Indiana Borough Police and Citizens’ Ambulance on the call. Details have not been released as of yet.
