They tried to play baseball yesterday at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City, but the rains eventually forced a postponement of the PA Youth Legion Western Regional. They’ll hope for drier weather and give it another shot today with the third-place game between Monroeville and Titusville scheduled for five o’clock, to be followed by the championship game between S.W. Jack and Trafford.
S.W. Jack and Trafford have already qualified for this weekend’s Youth Legion state tournament, and the winner of tonight’s first game will also qualify. The fourth team out of the West will be the host team, Homer City Post 493.
The teams coming from the East will be the two bracket winners there, Boyertown Bear Cubs and Upper Perk (from Pennsburg), along with the two Eastern bracket runners-up, Sunbury Post 201 (from Northumberland) and Hamburg.
We will have the championship game tonight at around 7:50 on Renda Digital TV, presented by Force Turf Solutions.
