FOOTBALL
Former IUP football standout Duane Brown led the Billings Outlaws to a 46-41 win over the Albany Firebirds Friday in the 33rd Arena Football League championship in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Brown hauled in all five touchdown passes from quarterback Isaac Harker, catching nine passes overall for 125 yards.
Brown, an Apollo Ridge grad, holds a number of IUP records. He was a wide receiver, running back, and return specialist for the Crimson Hawks.
BASKETBALL
At The Basketball Tournament in Lexington, Kentucky, the Waymakers, the team of Division II alumni which includes former IUP stars, lost to Auburn, 80-73.
