Marion Center Fire Department has announced the receipt of a grant from Peoples Natural Gas.
The company awarded the fire department a $2500 grant, which they will use in collaboration with the American Red Cross to install smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms in homes throughout the service area. This also includes audible and vibration devices for those who are blind or deaf.
The fire department will release more details on the effort next week.
