The Pirates and the Phillies started the Yinzerfest series last night, and the Bucs had to battle back to walk off a winner. Joe Block reports.
Pirates Manager Derek Shelton said that after the Pirates went down by three in the first, the team was able to battle back just as quick, and he was impressed by that.
The win puts the Pirates over .500 at 49-48 and the cross-state rivalry continues tonight. Luis Ortiz will start for the Pirates. He is 4-2 with a 2.84 ERA this season. Philly will counter with Christopher Sanchez, who is 7-4 with a 2.96 ERA. The game is sold out, so the best way to catch it is to listen to WCCS 101.1 FM and AM 1160 starting at 6:15 with the pre-game show. First pitch is 6:40.
