Penns Manor defeated Homer-Center, 46-45, Tuesday night in Heritage Conference girls’ basketball action. Megan Dumm led the Comets’ effort with 25 points.
In other girls’ action, River Valley improved to 3-0 with a 69-53 win over Marion Center. Five Panthers scored in double figures. Abby Pynos had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Hannah Artley scored 13 points and had 10 rebounds. Ava Persichetti scored 15 points, Julia Potts scored 11 and Bel Pynos scored 10. For Marion Center, Kaelee Elkin scored 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Lydia Miller scored 17 points and had eight rebounds.
In boys’ basketball, Standord Webb scored 13 points to lead Indiana to a 39-33 win over Punxsutawney and Ethan Kutz had nine point. Indiana held Punxsy to 11 points in the first half, and 11 in each of the final two periods. A 17-point second quarter helped Indiana take the lead it never surrendered.
