The author of a new book on World War II will stop by the Jimmy Stewart Museum on Saturday.
Historian and author Jared Frederick will give a lecture about his book “Into the Cold Blue” on Saturday at noon. The book is about John Holman who served in the Army Air Corps during World War II starting after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He eventually co-piloted a B-24 Liberator over Nazi Germany and served in the same air division as Stewart did, surviving 34 combat missions over a four-month period.
The lecture is included in the general admission cost on Sautrday, and he will talk about the book and about the experiences Holman and Stewart shared during the war. The lecture precedes the museum’s showing of “The FBI Story” at 1:00 PM. Frederick will be on hand to sell autographed copies of the book after the lecture.
