S.W. Jack is one win away from their second consecutive Indiana County Youth Legion championship after routing Marion Center, 13-3, last night at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City.
Dylan Shank got the Drillers on the board in the second, then S.W. Jack added two in the third, three in the fourth, five in the fifth, and two in the sixth. Brady Oakes and Chase Force piled on two hits apiece including a double and two RBIs. Riley George added a double and drove in four runs.
Oakes and Force also shined on the mound for the Drillers. Oakes allowed three runs and struck out five over five innings. Force shut the door with a perfect sixth.
Cole Adamson drove in two runs for Marion Center while Jaxon Davis added a double.
Drillers coach Mitch Pacconi said his team’s offense was rolling.
Pacconi adds Oakes turned in a solid outing on the mound.
Chase Force said he took a confident approach to last night’s game.
Game two of the series is tonight at First Commonwealth Bank Field with Marion Center being the home team. Should Marion Center win, an “if necessary” game three will take place tomorrow.
First pitch tonight is at 7.
