A contract extension could be happening “soon” for Sidney Crosby as Rob Rossi of The Athletic announced yesterday on X that a deal between him and the Penguins is close.
Rossi reports the deal is being viewed by both sides as “a commitment to Pittsburgh,” however financial details have not been released. Penguins GM and President of Hockey Operations Kyle Dubas said earlier in the offseason that extending Crosby was a top priority and Crosby has said he wants to retire a Penguin.
