Sunday was an active day for Indiana County first responders.
Elderton Fire Department was called out at 6:11 AM for utility lines down on Wood Road in in Armagh Borough, and an automatic fire alarm was activated at 10:55 AM on 3rd Avenue in Cherryhill Townshjp that brought the Clymer Fire Department to the scene.
A brush fire was reported by Indiana County 911 at 2:15 PM along Route 210 in North Mahoning Township. That brought out the Perry Township and Plumville fire departments. Details on how the fire started and how much damage was done has not been released. This marks the 33rd brush fire in Indiana County this year.
A vehicle fire was reported on Route 22 East in West Wheatfield Township at 3:18 PM. Clyde, Armagh and Black Lick fire departments were initially dispatched, while the Blairsville fire department was called out about a half-hour later to assist on-scene.
A vehicle accident was also reported on Route 119 North in Rayne Township. Marion Center firefighters were called out along with State Police and Citizens Ambulance at 10:08 PM, with Plumville firefighters called to assist at 10:21 PM. Marion Center Firefighters said on the department’s Facebook page that one vehicle rolled over and one person was trapped in the vehicle. Other details on the accident were not released.
