The Indiana County Youth Legion baseball championships begin this week at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City between the S.W. Jack Drillers and Marion Center.
The Drillers are seeking their second straight championship after beating Homer City Post 493 in the semifinal round, while Marion Center is looking for its first legion title since 2021 after beating Mahoning Valley in the semis.
Game one of the best-of-three series is tonight at 7 o’clock, with game two taking place tomorrow night and an if-necessary game three will be held on Wednesday. All games will be at First Commonwealth Bank Field, hosted by the Homer City Area Athletic Booster Club. S.W. Jack will be the home team tonight and Wednesday, while Marion Center will be the home team tomorrow.
Half of the Western Regional Tournament is set as Wesleyville and Titusville have qualified. This will be Titusville’s first appearance in the regional tournament, which will also take place at First Commonwealth Bank Field July 27-31.
