An event to celebrate first responders in Indiana Borough and White Township will be held today.
From 10 AM to 2 PM, the White Township Recreation Complex will host the township’s Emergency Services Expo today. The event will feature representatives from various first responder organizations that serve the township and will give kids and families a chance to meet them and to see the vehicles they use on a daily basis. White Township Public Relations and Communications specialist Chauncey Ross said one way to do that at the expo is the “Meet the Heroes” game they are putting on.
The event will also include CPR lessons, demonstrations by Indiana Fire Association, REA Energy, Creekside Fire Department, State Police and People’s Gas, and a landing of a Lifeflight medical helicopter.
The event is free and open to the public.
