Pens captain Sidney Crosby and Pens GM Kyle Dubas have remained quiet on talks of a contract extension for the team captain. Crosby is entering the final year of a contract he signed in 2012. He would be able to sign a contract extension on Monday.
At a news conference yesterday, Dubas called the negotiations a “private matter” between Sid, agent Pat Brisson and himself. He did say he was comfortable with where negotiations sat yesterday, and his wish to have a more competitive team surrounding Crosby this upcoming season.
