It looks like the Pennsylvania Budget will not be ready for its June 30th deadline, but some are hopeful that the budget will be in place by the end of next week.
In an official statement, Senate GOP leadership said that a full budget agreement will not be ready for the state-mandated deadline, they hope that they will reach a consensus very soon and have avoid any negative impacts on Pennsylvania’s citizens. Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman said earlier this week on Indiana in the Morning that he thinks that the budget will be in place just after the Independence Day Holiday. He said that while the ongoing dialogue between all sides has been amicable, the slow pace was concerning.
The senate has adjourned for the weekend but will be back at work on July 1st at 3 PM.
