Luke Loewe’s bucket off an offensive rebound with less than three seconds remaining gave the 6-0 Golden Gophers the victory. John Hugley had 25 points in a losing cause as the Panthers fell to 2-5 on the season. Pitt will travel to Virginia for their next game- Friday night against the Cavaliers.
The game gave the Big 10 a 6-2 advantage in the Big 10-Atlantic Coast Conference Challenge. The final six games will be played tonight with 4-2 Penn State hosting 4-3 Miami to highlight the schedule. Tip off in State College is 9:15 pm
