Fresh off its win over Ohio State, Michigan is suddenly back in the national championship picture. The Wolverines jumped all the way to number two in the nation behind top-ranked Georgia in this week’s rankings. Cincinnati jumped over Alabama to number three with the Crimson Tide falling to fourth after having to go into overtime to beat Auburn. Oklahoma State is fifth, Notre Dame 6th, and Ohio State 7th, with Mississippi, Baylor and Oregon filling out the top 10.
Alabama and Georgia play each other for the SEC championship this Saturday.
Pitt rose three spots to number 17 after beating Syracuse. The Panthers will play Wake Forest for the ACC championship this Saturday.
